IronClad Racing Experience Center (IREC) Policy
Welcome to the IronClad Racing Experience Center (IREC) in Hong Kong! To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for all guests, please review and adhere to the following policies.
1. Booking and Reservations
-Advance Booking: All sim racing sessions must be booked in advance through our online booking system or by contacting our staff.
-Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 8 years old to use the simulators. Guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
-Session Duration: One sessions last from 30 minutes to 2 hours (depending on booking), including a 10-minute setup time by our staff.
-Self-Setup Option: Guests who are trained and approved to set up the simulator themselves may opt out of staff-assisted setup, adding the 10-minute setup time to their racing session. Please inform staff at booking if you wish to use this option.
-Arrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session for check-in and briefing. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session without a refund.
2. Safety Guidelines
-Equipment Use: Follow all instructions provided by staff regarding the use of simulators, including steering wheels, pedals, and seating adjustments.
-Equipment Hygiene: All equipment, including steering wheels, pedals, seats, and headsets, is regularly cleaned and sterilized to ensure a hygienic experience for all guests.
-Health Conditions: Inform staff of any medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate safely, such as epilepsy, motion sickness, or heart conditions.
-No Food or Drinks: Food and drinks are not permitted near the simulators to prevent damage to equipment.
-Personal Belongings: Secure personal items in designated areas. IREC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
3. Code of Conduct
-Respectful Behavior: Treat staff, other guests, and equipment with respect. Disruptive or abusive behavior will result in removal from the premises without a refund.
-Simulator Care: Do not apply excessive force to the equipment. Any damage caused by misuse will incur repair or replacement costs.
-No Unauthorized Adjustments: Only staff may adjust simulator settings or hardware unless explicitly permitted (e.g., approved self-setup participants).
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
-Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund or rescheduling. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable but may be rescheduled at IREC’s discretion.
-No-Shows: Failure to arrive for a booked session without prior notice will result in a full charge with no refund.
-Center-Initiated Cancellations: In the event of technical issues or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a full refund or reschedule your session.
5. Payment
-Payment Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and cash. Payments can be made in person at the time of your booked session.
-Payment Requirement: Payment can be made after session completion. Cost will be calculated at the closest session time rounding up (i.e. 1 hours 50 minutes will count as a 2-hour session).
-Group Bookings: For group events or private bookings, a non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking.
6. Privacy
-Data Collection: We collect personal information (e.g., name, contact details) solely for booking and operational purposes. Your data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
-Photography/Videography: Photos or videos taken during sessions may be used for promotional purposes unless you opt out in writing.
7. Liability
-Assumption of Risk: Participation in sim racing is at your own risk. IREC is not liable for injuries or damages resulting from participation, provided all safety guidelines are followed.
-Equipment Maintenance: All simulators are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safety and functionality.
8. Copyright Disclaimer
-IREC does not provide any simulation software/game as part of our sessions. Participants need to use their own personal license to use along with our simulator hardware.
